TMI alert. If you get grossed out by farts & burps, read no more.
Dang! How long is it going to take for this gas to pass away? It’s my second day sitting at my desk with my waistband rolled down and a long top covering my belly. It’s my 4th day on Gas-X and Prilosec.
Last night when I got off work, I went straight home, and believe me when I tell you that no sooner was the front door shut before my pants were off. I sat on my comfy chair in pantsless glory, a light blanket covering my gut & legs, and belched for 3 hours. Dis-gusting! I slept fine, apart from my usual waking up 4 or 5 times during the night, and I made it a little longer today before I had to roll down the waistband. Yesterday it was pretty much as soon as I sat at my desk. Today I made it an hour and a half.
I called and talked to a nurse at my bariatric surgeon’s office, and she said it doesn’t sound like a problem with the band, but more like something my regular doctor would attend to. She did say if it gets worse, that they could squeeze me in. Ugh–just the thought of something squeezing my belly makes me hurt. 😦
If the gas is still this bad tomorrow, I guess I’ll call my primary care doctor’s office and see if they’ll see me. Please don’t let it be this bad tomorrow. I’m so tired of feeling disgusting. I was in the bathroom at work after lunch, farting and belching spectacularly. I tried to time it for whenever anyone flushed or turned on the water to wash their hands, and I also stayed in the bathroom until it was empty to avoid the walk of shame. Not that there was anything beyond noise, but even though I think farting and burping is funny, there’s a time and a place for it. Work is not one of those places.
