Atkins shakes. They’re keeping me alive right now. Two more days of liquids and then I’ll get to start eating again. Having done the liquid diet for more than a month last December, I’m not really thrilled about being back on it. Ah, well, once I get the unfill on Monday, perhaps I’ll be able to eat properly again. It’s funny–I thought a high level of restriction would be a good thing. Obviously it’s been counter productive, since the only things I’ve been able to eat and keep down are the kinds of things I shouldn’t be eating. I haven’t lost weight–haven’t gained it either–so it’s just not been fun.
Joe just turned on Despicable Me. I love this movie. It’s so sweet and funny and cute. And the mad scientist just made a fart gun. Heh-heh. I really want a minion of my own. After I saw the movie, I was looking everywhere. I thought they’d have the tie-ins, and I could just go to Voldemart or Target and buy a minion, but I was wrong. No minions anywhere.
Next week I get to start trying out vegan cupcake recipes. I’m making them for V’s baby shower in less than a month. I’m going to make 3 different kinds, and want to make sure I’ve got things down pat before I make them for the shower. So there will be lots of cupcakes around my office group to sample. Yay for cupcakes! I’m thinking red velvet, gingerbread, and green tea chai latte (specially requested by V). I’m great at making cupcakes, but I suck at decorating them. I’ve got to figure that one out. Vegan cream cheese frosting for the red velvet. I think it might be fun to have some lemon hard sauce for the gingerbread and people can just take a dollop to pour over their cupcake, but I’ll have to experiment with that one. And a nice glaze would be good for the chai latte. So the only ones I’d really have to worry about making beautiful are the red velvet. Maybe a decorating bag and large tip so I can swirl it on top. We’ll see.
I’m making something very special for Izzybella’s birthday next month. It’s taking a while to find all the parts I need, but it’s fun at the same time. I hope she likes it. I’ll post a picture of it after her birthday, so you can see how cool it is.
So that’s it for me today. Have a great rest of the weekend!
