I’m participating in NaBloPoMo this year, where I will post every day during the month of November. (Note that I am most decidedly NOT participating in NaNoWriMo. Too much going on.)
Here’s today’s prompt:

If you knew that whatever you ate next would be your last meal, what would you want it to be?
You know, I think that I’d first have to go get the saline taken out of my band, because right now I can’t eat very much. And if my next meal were to be my last, I’d like to be able to enjoy it without knowing that I was going to vomit repeatedly afterwards.
Let’s start with hummus and samosas from Cosmic Cafe. I don’t need a ton, just enough to get a taste. They have really good samosas.
Main course would be a cheese enchilada and a spoonful or two of beans from El Fenix.
Dessert would be a cupcake with a disproportionally high ratio of frosting to cupcake. White cake; white buttercream.
Then a Reese’s peanut butter cup to finish it all off.
Ooooh, doesn’t that sound disgusting? I mean, I like each individual component. But my stomach hurts just thinking about it.
That being said–I’m going to El Fenix today and Cosmic Cafe on the weekend. I’ve had peanut butter cups this week already (hello Halloween!). So all I really need to get is the cupcake and I’ll be good. Er, bad. Whatever. Cupcake!
Okay, in full disclosure, I did have a cupcake on Monday because Melly brought some to work. But it was chocolate with violent orange frosting, and not enough frosting anyway. It also turned my tongue a disgusting shade of orange. I’m a cake purist. I like white cake with white icing, or yellow cake with chocolate fudge icing. Or spice cake with cream cheese icing. Or red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. Or green tea chai vegan cupcakes with whatever kind of icing seems fit. Or black forest cake with dark chocolately icing and lots of cherries. Or German chocolate cake with yummy coconutty pecan icing. Or yellow cake with chocolate-caramel icing.
Did I say I was a cake purist? Strike that.
