What is the most important lesson you learned from your own mother? What do you imagine the name of your Grandmother’s blog would be and what would she write about?
The most important lesson I learned from my own mother is to persevere. Never give up, never surrender. Don’t take no for an answer. That’s not the only lesson she taught, of course. Growing up in Georgia in the 60’s/70’s, I saw a lot of my classmates being extremely prejudiced racially. But my mom taught me that the colour of a person’s skin has nothing to do with the type of person s/he is. And that’s another invaluable lesson I’ve carried with me throughout my life.
And my grandmothers—my Grannie would have blogged about her flower garden. She always had tons and tons of iris, and to this day I never see an iris but I think of her. My grandmother DeeDee would probably have blogged about her family and about her struggles with the cancer that eventually took her life.
