I think I currently wear a size 20-22, somewhere in there. While it’s bigger than I would like to be, it’s also much smaller than the 24-26 I was wearing pre-surgery.
But I keep finding out that clothes sizing is completely crazy, uncoordinated, unstandardized.
* My blouse is a size 20, I think, possibly a 22.
* My jeans are size 18, and they’re hugely too big and baggy in the butt, although they fit my legs beautifully. Contrariwise, I tried on a pair of size 20 jeans, in a different cut, at the same store where I purchased the size 18 jeans, and the 20’s were quite a bit too small. As in they wouldn’t zip.
* The lightweight jacket I’m wearing is a size 16. I almost didn’t try it, because I’m nowhere near a size 16, but upon seeing how roomy it looked, I figured there was nothing to lose.
And it’s not just clothes. It’s shoes, too. For example, I’m wearing a pair of flats that are size 9. If I wear heels, I’ll have to go as high as a 9.5 or even a 10 (in Guess).
It would be really nice if a size 20 is a size 20 is a size 20. And it’ll be nicer by far when even a size 20 is too large for me. 🙂
