it’s been a long day. a *really* long day. it began at 4:40 following a night in which i got no sleep. we loaded up the car and were on the road by 5 a.m. it was nice, driving with the sun chasing us across western texas and into new mexico. we had a hearty breakfast at cracker barrel that involved biscuits and apple butter, along with various other sweets and savouries. Said breakfast also involved some gut churning that necessitated the purchase of immodium ad. that’s good stuff.
we kept saying that we needed to find a chase bank, and a wells fargo bank, and we kept not finding one of either. so in el paso, amethyst got directions to a chase bank. while en route, liz suggested that there might be a wells fargo across the street, and i snidely replied, ‘yeah, and sea monkeys might fly out of my butt!’ A block later showed a chase bank and a wells fargo bank across the street. so folks, i’m apparently going to be producing sea monkeys, and their little crowns and tridents are sure to cause me some unmentionable pain. don’t send me any brine shrimp, though. thanks anyway.
we have a nice room thanks to my sweet honey bear, and i can’t speak for anyone else, but i’m really ready to lie down and collapse and not move until 7:00 tomorrow morning.
