I got to work this morning and realized that I’d neglected to put my complaint-free world bracelet on my wrist. Hmmmm. Freudian slip? C’est possible.  Watch as I begin to complain:  I also got to work and immediately started twitching. It’s really annoying, because it’s the muscle under my left eye, and every time it twitches, I can see it.

I have set August 8th as my own personal V-Day. The day I will become a vegan. I probably mentioned yesterday that I am gradually making changes, but as long as I’m busy with rehearsals and shows, I make no guarantees that I won’t run out to S*nic for a grilled cheese, thus having guilt and indigestion for lunch. I’ve found some amazing blogs and websites about being vegan, and have added them to my blogroll. Plenty o’ support there, and I’m grateful for it.

I’m also grateful that I don’t have rehearsal tonight. It gives me time to finish getting off book and get some housework done as well. It’s amazing–I spent so much time going over my lines for this one horrendous scene that I really wish would get cut, and I truly thought I had it down. And then I started trying to go over it and realized that I don’t have it down yet. Grr!  Molly enjoyed it, though. She jumped up on the bed and thought that the million times I repeated, “Padre, perdoname si permiti que cosas pasaron que causaron la muerte de mi hermana. He perdido todo lo que quiso y por lo que vivia. Te pido que me puedes ayudar a mi hermana. Si esta en la tierra o si la tienen escondidos, ayudame a verla. Dejala vivir, Dios mio. Llevame a mi. Dejala vivir su vida linda. Llevame a mi,” was my way of telling her how special she is, and how adorable, and how cute.  So I’m sure she’ll equally enjoy tonight’s rendition of El Dia de los Muertos.  And do you know how hard it is to memorize lines in another language when you’re not fluent in that language? I’m familiar enough with Spanish that I know what I’m saying, but it’s still difficult to memorize the lines. And as I wrote that last sentence, my twitch started up again.  I wonder if I’ll twitch while I’m doing the scene? Will the audience see me twitching and think, “Wow! What an incredible actor!”? Nah. If they even notice me twitching, they’ll think, “Poor thing. No wonder she’s twitching. She’s just dreadful!” lol

You know what would be really cool? If I could get myself into shape enough to ride my bike to work. It’s just 7 miles each way. Notice how I slip that word “just” in there. Right now I’d be lucky to make it around my block on a bike. But the next show doesn’t even start rehearsals until late October, so I’ve definitely got some time to work on my physical fitness levels. And think how much gasoline I’d save! See the multiple benefits? So yeah, okay, it’s not real practical when it’s rainy or extra cold, but I can still do it. You know, get a bright yellow slicker and one of those umbrellas that stick onto your head. And then I’d also be brightening up everybody’s day, because they’d laugh uncontrollably when they saw me! Yeah.

Dinner last night was a chickenless salad sandwich and a few bites of potato salad from the Spiral Diner. They make the salad with seitan, and it has purple grapes and pecans and apples in it. Most excellently tasty. I got some seitan last weekend; maybe I’ll try making something with it tonight. Then again, considering how much work I have to do, maybe I’ll just make a quick chickpea-salad sandwich for dinner.  Yummmm!

Oh, and speaking of food, I tried the Hansen’s Natural Green Tea Soda, pomegranate flavour.  It is really good, like drinking nectar. It’s not something you’d want to drink every day, because it’s a little high calorie, but as an occasional treat it’s super.

One more thing: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows comes out in 2 days and about 15 hours!! Squee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
