I have a copy of Rawvolution, a fantastic gourmet raw foods/vegan cookbook, by Matt Amsden, to give away. If you’re interested, leave me a comment. I’ll draw for the winner on June 30th.
If you haven’t experienced raw cooking, you’re really in for a treat. It’s not a pile of carrots and celery sticks mounded up next to a bowl of ranch dressing. Far from it. If you’ve got the tools–a high powered blender, such as a Vitamix, and a food dehydrator are definitely recommended–you’ll really enjoy trying out these recipes.
How’s this: Glass Onion French Onion Soup (p. 41)? Creamy Dill Sauce (p. 76)–great with the carrots and celery, but why not try them with Veggie Cakes (p. 154)? Or the Stir-Not-Fry (p. 150), loaded with veggies and a flavour that will make your mouth very, very happy. Got a sweet tooth? There’s a 4-ingredient recipe for coconut fudge (p. 164), or you can try the 5-ingredient Sweet Virginia Pecan Pie (p. 172).
Trust me: this book is a feast for the eyes, and will get your culinary creativity going!
Well sis, you know I’m not a vegan; but some of the recipes you mentioned sound yummy. Though I will never become a vegan, I am always willing to try new things. Besides, some of those recipes would probably be a good way to help keep Lunatic on a healthy diet and help me lose some of the weight I regained. Love ya!!
OMG! This looks super yummy. THANK YOU!!!!
My vegan friend at work would probably love this book!
count me in!
Sounds really tasty!
Thanks for the giveaway!

Put me in the drawing. I am not intentionally a vegetarian, but my body throws a tantrum whenever I give it meat, and I’m about to give up. I’m living on skim milk in all its possible forms (cottage cheese, yogurt, “milkshakes,” etc.), flavored whey, nuts, and salad.
This looks like a great book. Thanks for the chance
