I got the lovely bath I was craving.  Plenty of bubbles and candles, and Joe even brought me chocolate. I saved that for later, though, because I was experimenting.

First came the honey face masque. I’ve been reading about cleansing one’s face with honey, so as soon as I’d hopped into the tub, I slathered my face with honey and left it alone to dry.

Next was the almond hair oil. I have a friend from Egypt, and she gave me a bottle of oil that she promised would make my hair glossy and silky. I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I’d stuck it into the box with all my hair stuff and never really thought about it again. But tonight I’d pulled it out, and once the honey was on my face and starting to dry, I massaged the oil into my hair. It is made of almond and coconut oil. The aroma is very mild.

It was at that point that Joe came in with the chocolate. He laughed when he saw my face but kindly didn’t say anything. He turned off the light, and I was left alone to bask.  The oil smelled so good, and felt so good on my hands that I decided to massage everything I could reach with it. So my arms, torso, legs, feet, neck all got massaged with the oil, and then I basked some more. Bask, bask, bask.

But all good things must end, and so did my lovely bath. I rinsed the dried honey off my face and massaged a little oil into it before I shampooed my hair. The oil came out of my hair beautifully. It doesn’t feel at all oily, but it still smells really good, and it is glossier than usual after a shampoo. And my arms and legs feel all nice and soft, and my worry  lines on my face are hardly visible right now. I’m sure they’ll come back, but if this works this well, I’ll be repeating the experience frequently. It’s a lot cheaper than B*t*x, and far more pleasant.

I’m getting ready to sack out in a little bit, but wanted to do just one thing more. I’ve decided to join in the 365 project. So with no further ado, here is my first photo.
