What is the nearest big city to your home?

The nearest big city to my home is Fort Worth, Texas. It’s a wonderful place. One of mine and Joe’s favourite things to do on date night is go to Sundance Square and people watch. It’s laid back, and friendly, and there’s always a lot to do in Ft. Worth. I love it, seriously.

Soup

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how well do you keep secrets?

Probably about a 9. If someone asks me to keep something secret, I do. Period. From everyone, and that does include my sister. However, there are some secrets–my own–that I find virtually impossible to keep, hence I spend the month of December desperately trying to keep myself from telling my sister what I got her for Christmas.

Describe your hair (color, texture, length).

Right now my hair is a dark chocolate brown with light greenish-white streaks from where the blue faded. After this weekend, I think it will once more be all dark chocolate brown. I have very fine textured hair, but a lot of it. And it’s shortish.

What kind of driver are you?  Courteous?  Aggressive?  Slow?

I think I’m courteous, but I sure like to drive fast!

When was the last time you had a really bad week?

This week’s way up there. It’s not one of the top 5 weeks, but I think it’s probably up in the top 10 or 15.

Yes, friends, it’s time for virtual vacation planning once more.  I just planned a lovely tour for Jehara, who will be visiting New England in a few months.

Gypsygrrrl was unable to take her planned vacation in Baltimore, but I’m not without hopes that she will be able to in the future.

And Janet should be taking hers pretty soon, and I’ll link to her post(s) when she does.

And if anyone else wants a vacation planned with all the things I’d like to see and do, just let me know where you’re going, when you’ll be there, and how long you have.

Just Wonderin’

How does one twist one’s ankle without being aware of it?  This is not a rhetorical question. At some point between 4:15 and 5:00 yesterday afternoon, I twisted my ankle and didn’t notice it. All I noticed was that it suddenly really hurt to put any weight on that foot, and the ankle was starting to swell and throb painfully.

Beside the annoyance of the pain, it was frustrating because I had plans to get some things done around the house. Instead I sat on the sofa with my foot propped on a chair and an ice bag propped on top of my ankle.

I know, I know, best-laid plans and all that. It’s just that it’s a very inconvenient time for them to go a-gleying.
