And it all started out so tame, with a longish and specific ****ALERT – AMBIEN BLOGGING ******* lists of tasks to be accomplished. Go to the grocery store. get the ingreidnets for Irish stw. Get a juicer. Buy a front door and arrange to have it and the back door insalled. Color my hair. So Saturday morning after we finished with my hair, Joe and I piled into the car to go begin running errands. Lunch first at Red Robin. Then since dog treats were on our list, I pointed across the parking lot and asked if he wantd to get them at the pet store or at the other place. Ah, what the heck, we’re here, let’s just get it. And that’s where we met Scout and where the weekend derailed.
We got home with our new addition to the family and apprensively introduced him and Molly. thy’re getting along okay. I think they’ll grow into a degree of tolerance, even if it never becomes liking. And he just peed on Joe’s favourite shirt, which means Joe’s got a load of laundry nw goin.g He (Scout not Joe) follows me to the bathrrom. I can’t shut the door becuase he’ll stand there and bump on it. But if I leave it open, he’ll just pop ina nd check on things every so often. And when I took a nice bath toonight, he wandered in a few times to say hello, make sure I didn’t need anything.
Last night he ran back and forth between me in one room and Joe in anoter room every few mintes, like he was trying to make sure we were still ther eand still want him. Joe fell asleep on the sofa, and this morning told me that Scout slept on Joe’s head, his chest, his arms, his legs, until he decided it was time to go wake me up. that’s when he sarted up again the running back and forth between me and Joe until he had us both up and awake.
Anyway, despite everything, we got a good amont of our list completed. And instead of just buying a new front door, and having hte front door& back door installed, we’re also buying a storm door with a doggie door for the back and having it installed as well. So when we’re home we can have the back door opened and the storm door shut, and the dogs can come and go as they please. That’ll make life a lttle easier.
Joe wanted a juicer, so we went to dillards last night and bought a jack lalanne juicer. So I’m hoping for fresh apple-pear juie for breakfast tomorrow morning. Sounds good, no?
Loeve to you all-I’m going to go play an ambien game of mah jongg and then crash.
